Ok, next order of business, the 100 Day Raw Food Challenge officially started today. Of course, my real day is closer to day 75, but we are going to say 1. I tried to be mindful of my personal challenge goals today. I definitely noticed points where i was shoveling it in without paying attention but I brought myself back to awareness and slowed down.
The nice weather greatly improved my mood, I was very productive at work, and I ALMOST forgot my coffee tasting anxiety until it was time to go.
It worked out ok... I spit almost all of the donuts and coffee out. They tasted great, but not any better than a lot of the delicious raw foods I get to eat. I did feel a little buzzy after the tasting so I know a little of the caffeine and sugar got in, but not much.
After work a friend and I went to the phinney farmers market and I got peaches, berries, cool round zucchinis and some multi colored bell peppers. Well they weren't multiple colors, I got multiple different colors. I made myself a nice, pretty, satisfying dinner in honor of day one. Now I am going to bed :)

that looks so good. i wanted to make chili last night but i was too tired to go get peppers at the farmer's market. love the cabbage berry wraps!
mmm...yummy! Can you chat with the weather guy again b/c I would like it warmer. A lot warmer. This 60-degree stuff isn't working for me in the summer but I do like the rain rule you asked for. Rain at night.
That chili looks so great! I wonder if I have all the ingredients for it....
That all looks totally delicious. I love purple cabbage, I never thought of making a fruit dish with it.
Haven't made the cheez-it yet but that's on my list. How long are you supposed to soak sunflower seeds for anyway?
Thx for the sunflower seed info. I think I'll do it Heathy's way (her link to that recipe is in my post) where she soaks the stuff but doesn't dehydrate. One less step for this girl. :)
Thanks for the comments.... Oh and you cant eat dates plain? crazy! i must be an intense sugar addict because i cannot get enough!!!
Wow, I want to do that cabbage thing with the banana creme - is the banana creme just blended banana? what berries did you use?
You always seem to make delicious food.
Wait did i already tell you i made those date cacao balls and forgot to take pics? yeah i definitely made them and was hungry WHILE making them, which wasnt so good, so i just kinda ate them as i made them... lol, it definitely slowed down my eating though, which is good!
anyways, keep it up with the raw food challenge. I wanted to join but i've already been doing it a while, but then i realized you have too --- i didnt know we were allowed to join if we were already pretty raw???? oh well! i love reading up on all of your blogs anyways!
